"I gotta deal with is"....it is such a weird phrase. “ I just need to deal with my problems and move on with my life”. But dealing with my problems is not something I can do. There is nothing I can do to “deal with” the fact that my dad has a disease that is causing his brain and body function to deteriorate. There is nothing I can do to “deal with” an anger problem or a fear, except give it to God. There is nothing in my power that I can or have to do to deal with stuff. All I have to do is give it to God and let him work it out. I give it to God and he changes me and the situation in a way that will ultimately glorify Him. Isn’t that amazing? Every time I want to “deal with” a problem or situation, all I gotta do is give it to God and let Him do his thing. There is nothing that I have to do and there is nothing that I can do except for letting go and trusting God to help me through whatever problem or situation I might be facing. "Dealing with it", whether it be a sin, an emotion, a painful situation, or whatever is a matter of obedience and trust. In obedience to God I choose to let go and give my problems to Him and I trust Him to work out the situation in mighty ways. And God is going to use every situation and every problem that needs to be dealt with in a way that is glorifying to Him and ultimately leads to something good (Rom 8:28). Dealing with problems just got a whole lot easier.
